Interactive Periodic Table

Search by element or atomic number, filter periodic properties, and connect position to O Level and A Level trends.

Columns are groups 1–18 and rows are periods 1–7. In the table, arrow keys move between elements and Enter selects one. Scroll sideways within the table to see every group, or choose List.

Predict before you look up

Which element reacts more vigorously with water?

Then find lithium and potassium in the table and compare their periods.

Using the table in an exam question
  1. Locate: search the element or filter the relevant group or block.
  2. Read the position: use atomic number, group and period before recalling a trend.
  3. Interpret: connect the position and supplied facts to a particle-level explanation.

An oxidation state is not automatically an ion charge. Choose the detail level before selecting an element to keep the facts at the depth you need.

When a fact is not included in this revision dataset, the details say so. A missing value never means zero or that the element has no chemistry for that field. Revise the explanation patterns in O Level Periodic Table orA Level Periodicity after using the lookup.
